“The World is a Carousel of Color, Wonderful, Wonderful, Color!” World of Color is one of the top shows we recommend seeing if you’re heading to California Adventure! It’s filled with Disney classics projected onto the water, amazing music & the most incredible display of water & color!
There are a couple ways to guarantee a good viewing spot! One way is to grab a Fast Pass by Grizzly River Run. There will be an assigned viewing area & return time listed on your Fast Pass (we recommend arriving as early as possible even with a Fast Pass). All assigned viewing areas are preferred & standing only (with accommodations for guests with disabilities). Viewing areas are divided into sections & each section is labeled with a sign! Another way to guarantee a preferred spot is to book a dining package! See below for more information on these packages.

If you don’t book any of these packages and worry you won’t have a good viewing spot, take this photo as proof that there are plenty of places to watch the show from that are still good! We like the spot right under the “Golden Zephyr.” It may not be considered a prime viewing location, but we thoroughly enjoyed it from here & could see everything! One other location we love to watch from is along the white fence outside of Ariel’s Grotto. It’s pretty high up & we’re always able to see everything! Another viewing option is the areas behind Paradise Bay (by Mickey’s Fun Wheel & California Screamin’)! The images projected onto the water will be reversed, but you can still see everything pretty much the same as far as the water & colors go.
The water is really big & powerful, but some little ones may have a hard time seeing everything unless they’re held, in a carrier or have something to stand on. We let our kids stand on the stroller seat or sit on the top of the strollers so they can see better.
Attractions that close for the show include California Screamin’, Games of the Boardwalk, Golden Zephyr, King Triton’s Carousel, Jumpin’ Jellyfish, Mickey’s Fun Wheel, and Silly Symphony Swings.
