Character Dining Experiences

Character Dining experiences are such a fun & special treat for birthdays, anniversaries, & more! There are 2 character dining options at the parks (one in each park) & a character dining option at each Disney Hotel! The prices for character dining range from $14-$20 for kids 3 & older & around $30-$40 for adults. The price is worth it for amount of food you get AND you don’t have to chase characters around, they come to you! Bring autograph books & have your cameras ready!

We highly recommended making reservations online at Disneyland.com or by calling 714-781-DINE (can be made up to 60 days in advance). Be sure to include every person in your party, even the smallest babes!

Character Dining in Disneyland:

Breakfast with Minnie & Friends at the Plaza Inn (one of Disneyland’s original landmarks) is an all-you-can-eat experience with the most characters we’ve seen at any character dining experience! Characters vary, but include Minnie, Captain Hook, Fairy Godmother, Winnie the Pooh, Eeyore, Tigger, Chip ‘n Dale, Max (Goofy’s son), Rafiki, & sometimes the mice from Cinderella (Suzy & Perla).

Character Dining in California Adventure:

Ariel’s Grotto to dine with Disney princesses for either breakfast OR lunch (princesses do not appear during dinner)! Each guest will get to take a photo with Ariel upon entering the restaurant & once seated, up to 4 other princesses will come to each table after they’re announced with a royal introduction! Your littles will get a complimentary crown & coloring pages are provided.

Disney Hotel Character Dining (you do not have to be a hotel guest to enjoy!):

  • The Grand Californian Hotel is home to “The Storyteller’s Cafe” hosting Chip ‘n Dale’s Critter Breakfast! This meal is full of “farmer’s market buffet” type foods – basically YUM. And it’s all you can eat – YES PLEASE. Characters may vary, but include Chip ‘n Dale, Pocahontas, Meeko, Brother Bear, and Terk from Tarzan.
  • At Paradise Pier hotel, you will find Mickey and his pals for a “surf’s up” style breakfast at the PCH Grill. Note: this is the only character dining spot where you are guaranteed to see Mickey! An all-you-can-eat beach party breakfast feast is full of delicious eats including a “build your own omelet” bar. Characters may vary, but include Mickey, Minnie, Stitch, and Daisy.
  • The Disneyland Hotel character dining experience is with the one and only Goofy and his friends! “Goofy’s Kitchen” is full of more all you can eat breakfast treats at five different food stations (seriously SO much food). Be sure to test out Goofy’s speciality – “peanut butter & jelly pizza.” Characters can vary, but typically include Goofy, Minnie, Chip ‘n Dale, and Pluto.
